|
Energy medicine is based on certain principles of Chinese medicine, it is thus interesting to have an outline of it. If you want to develop your knowledge in this field, defer you to the bonds or the bibliography in the zone “contacts”. It is a medicine which is based on the concept of energy. It is based on the study of the correspondences. The man is the hyphen between the sky and the ground. He is a small microcosm in this great macrocosm which is the universe. Their observations proposed the role prevailing of the major bodies which are the Liver, the Heart, the Spleen, the Lungs, the Kidneys, and which take part in the physical and emotional balance of the organization. The three vital forces of our body are the shen (spirits), the jing (gasolines), the IQ or you chi (energy). Two principal sources of energy:
INTERNAL ORGANS It is necessary to distinguish the bodies and the entrails. 1. Bodies
It is the green emperor. He is the wind of the sky (mobile), the wood of the ground (flexible). He controls the muscles, the tendons, the aponévroses. He is the Master of the eyes. The external demonstrations are located with the nails, which they are faded or too coloured, stained, breakable, weak or resistant, they reflect the reserves of jing liver. Savour related to the liver is the acid. Its season is spring. The tears are worked out by the liver. It shelters the HUN (spiritual heart, advised SHEN). Its psychological qualities are: control, capacity of decision. It controls the flow of blood. It is coupled with the gall bladder. Its associate with the liver is the “XU”.
It is the red emperor. He is related to heat. He is the fire of the ground. He makes circulate blood and controls the arteries. The entry of the heart is the language, if it is healthy it recognizes savours. The dependent openings of opening in the middle are the auditory canals (subtle listening). It is associated the opening of the eyes, it directs the acuity of the understanding and clearness. Bitter savour is dependent in the middle. It is expressed outside by sweat. Its season is the summer. It shelters the “SHEN” (spiritual prestige). It is coupled with the small intestine. Its associate in the middle is the “KE”
It is the yellow emperor. It is related to moisture. It is the element ground. It controls the flesh. The mouth is related to spleen, as well as the lips, the internal face of the cheeks, the velum, the épiglotte. Saliva is related to spleen. The velum is the point of meeting of two important meridian lines, Ren May (design, which passes in front of the body, sea yin) and Of May (governor, which passes behind, sea of the yang). Its savour is the soft one. Its season is the end of the summer. The spleen shelters the “YI” (memory). Its psychological qualities are the capacity to be integrated, to stabilize themselves, to feel concentrated and balanced. It directs the digestive system and nourishes blood. It has a function of supply. In it the idea, the will resides. It is coupled with the stomach. Its associate with Spleen is the “HOU”.
It is the white emperor. All the breaths are attached to the lung. It has a role of general administration of energies. It is in connection with the whole of the mechanisms of gestation and the maternal relation. It is related to the dryness. It is the element metal. Its savour is the prickly one. It controls the nose, the nostrils, the skin. Its external demonstration is located with the hairs. Its season is the autumn. The mood worked out by the lung is rhinorrée. It shelters “Po” (vegetative heart, temporary of the essential IQ). Its psychological qualities are substantiality (capacity to locate the things clearly). It absorbs the IQ of the air which it mixes with the IQ of food coming from spleen. It governs the sense of smell. Function of administration. It is coupled with the large intestine. Its associate with the Lung is “Si”.
It is the black emperor. One speaks here about the right kidney (ancestral energy), the left kidney being rather the metabolic kidney. Physiologically it is here that that occurs, it is the gasoline, its energy goes up towards the cortex. It is dependent cold. It is the element water. Its savour is salted. It controls the bones, marrow, the hair, the teeth. Its season is the winter. It is at the origin of the development of the glaires. It shelters the “ZHI” (determination). Residence of the gasoline (sperm). It has a function in erection, the ability to be created. The openings related to the kidney are the genital anus and openings. The direction related to the kidney is hearing. On the other hand: one hears with his kidneys but one listens with his heart. It is coupled with the bladder. The sound related to the kidney is “TCHOUI”. 2. Entrails “The entrails do not preserve energy, they are only used for transforming it or transporting it.” (Penny Wen)
It has a role of referee, role of decision.
It has a chemical function of digestion, it operates the sorting of food. It is a regulator.
It has a function of warehouse, of supply, it receives food and sends their savours towards spleen.
It is the transformer.
It is related to the balance of water. It eliminates the urine.
It is a particular system, it does not have clean materiality. One recognizes three “hearths to him”: a superior who would regularize the function heart/lung, a means which would regularize the function liver/misses, an inferior who would regularize the function liver/kidney. I work the hearth higher than the level of the cardia of the stomach, the average hearth on the level of the great curve and the hearth lower than the level of the pylore. THE YIN AND THE YANG It is the world of the duality, all is not white, but all is not black. The night succeeds the day and conversely. There is an interdependence of the phenomena. They are two major principles of Chinese cosmology. The yin is the principle female and the yang the male principle. The sky and the ground are the physical representation of the yang and the yin. The yin is calm and the yang is agitation. The yang gives the life and the yin maintains it. The yang is in the top of the body, the yin in bottom. The right side is yin, the left side is yang. The back is yang and the belly is yin. The yang is reconstituted during the phase of expiry, the yin during the phase of inspiration. The bodies are yang and the entrails are yin. THEORY OF THE FIVE ELEMENTS It is a notation symbolic of the world. There are five fundamental elements related on the five bodies, the five entrails, five savours and which determine very interesting energy cycles. These elements are:
1. Energy cycles The bodies are the energy receptacles of the meridian lines. Energy circulates of worms the other according to well established cycles'.
It is the cycle of the relation mother/wire. The mother nourishes the son.
The Liver nourishes the Heart, the Heart nourishes Spleen, the Spleen nourishes the Lung, the Lung nourishes the Kidney and the Kidney nourishes the Liver. Wood generates Fire, Fire generates the Earth, the Earth generates Metal, Metal generates Water, Water generates Wood.
It is the cycle of the relation grandmother/grandson. Each body of control another.
The Liver controls Spleen, the Spleen controls the Kidney, the Kidney controls the Heart, the Heart controls the Lung, the Lung controls the Liver. Wood covers the Earth, the Earth dams up Water, Water extinguishes Fire, Fire melts Metal, Metal cuts Wood.
If Wood (Liver) is in too great plenitude and that the Earth (Spleen) is énergétiquement empty, there is a serious conflict, because Wood attacks the Earth severely. It misuses its control. This situation is pathological but remains in the direction of the law.
If the Wood which dominates the Earth normally, is too empty and the very full Earth, the Earth can be turned over against Wood. This contrary situation with the natural order, is even more serious, it is the cycle of the contempt, the insult.
It is a serious pathological mechanism. When a body receives a pathological IQ of that which it must feed, it transmits it to that which it represses. The breath stops at that which feeds it and carries death at that which represses it. - The Liver receiving a perversion of the Heart, transmits it to Spleen, the breath is blocked in the Kidney, arrives at the Lung and it is death. FIVE SAVOURS There are five savours: acid, bitter, soft, the prickly one, salted. Savours come from food. In Known Wen, it is known as: “The yang is the breath, the yin is savour. Savours contribute to the physical form which depends on the breath. The breath contributes to the gasoline which depends on digestion. The physical form nourishes savours, the gasoline nourishes the breath. Digestion works out the gasoline, and the breath vivifies the form. The elaborate gasoline becomes breath”. Rules of Known Wen:
